Seymour Martin Lipset Lecture on Democracy in the WorldThe Seymour Martin Lipset Lecture on Democracy in the World was inaugurated in 2004 by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the Munk Center for International Studies of the University of Toronto as an important new forum for discourse on democracy and its progress worldwide.
Seymour Martin Lipset Library Endowment FundThe Centennial Center for Political Science and Public Affairs, which opened its doors in September 2003, provides an important new resource for scholars traveling to Washington, DC. The Centennial Center library provides access to numerous journals and daily periodicals, along with select books. The library provides space for small meetings or interview sessions and has "plug-in" capabilities for scholars stopping by the Center for day visits.
In recognition of his contributions to the scholarly community and public affairs, it is our hope to name the Centennial Center library after Marty Lipset. This endowment supports the naming of the library as a permanent tribute to Marty.
